Description
Nestling in the Lot Valley surrounded by limestone cliffs Les Costes is a large comfortable family friendly house with garden and pool in the picturesque village of Calvignac close to the River Lot and all its water activities, and 10km from St-Cirq-Lapopie. A big open plan layout means lots of room for fun and relaxation. Next to the pool is a pool house (cabane) with kitchenette, bbq and pizza oven. The historic towns of Cahors, Figeac and Villefranche-de-Rouergue as well as the Grotte du Pech Merle are within an easy drive. The nearest village with a shop (and castle!) is Cenevieres (3km) and the market town of Cajarc with shops, garage and supermarket is 10km away.The house has a large open plan dining/sitting area with a table seating 12 people, comfortable sofas and a Smart TV. Two double doors lead to the West facing front terrace with outside table and chairs so you can watch the sun setting.
The well-equipped kitchen with two fridge/freezers, dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave leads on to the East facing terrace with another outside table so you can enjoy the morning sun.
There are two double bedrooms, a toilet and large bathroom with separate shower and bath on the ground floor. Upstairs are two further double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms, two shower rooms and one toilet.
Downstairs in the basement is the laundry with washing machine and games room with pool table and table tennis, a cool place to be in the summer heat.
7 day minimum stay in July and August, 3 day minimum the rest of the year. Sunday changeover day in July and August. Rest of the year any day.

We loved the house and the whole area
By Barbara on 09-Aug-2026Rosamund was such an obliging host, accommodating our request for extra fans given the hot weather. We appreciated the air con in the house too. I should have pinned the house location on Google maps rather than relying on the printed instructions to find our way there - we got lost (!) but Rosamund and the housekeeper were great at talking us through the final half a mile to get to the house. We loved the house and the whole area.
Excellent stay
By Inigo on 02-Aug-2026Our stay was excellent. There were three families, a total of 12 people, and the house was perfect for a large group. It's very spacious, with comfortable areas for everyone to get together, relax and eat together. The house is very well equipped and has everything you need to enjoy a carefree holiday. The pool is beautiful and was one of the highlights of our stay. We'd also like to highlight the magnificent service provided by the people in charge of the house. From reception to the end of the stay, communication was excellent: always friendly, attentive and willing to help. We definitely recommend this accommodation for families or groups of friends. We'd be happy to come back.

By Christopher M on 25-Jun-202610/10 Excellent Lovely spacious Gite in a phenomenal location close to the Lot. Air con and fans in the rooms make it comfortable even in the hottest weather. Plenty of space for larger groups. We’re just two couples but the Gite offered privacy. Good facilities such as pool, pool room, bbq, washer, dryer etc and games room also. Gardens were extensive with vegetables growing fresh. The Gite offered 2 areas for outside seating at either side of the property with 1 permanently covered and the other (closest to the kitchen) with a motorised cover to provide shade. Liked: cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy, value for money
Beau séjour/Wonderful stay

Des chambres spacieuses, suffisement de salles de bain, un jardin magnifique. Le mauvais temps ne nous a malheureusement pas permis de profiter pleinement. Nous retournons avec plaisir pour en profitons. Thank you for a wonderful stay. What a fantastic house for a big group. Very spacious bedrooms and enough bathrooms with a beautiful garden. The poor weather did not unfortunately allow us to fully take advantage of the facilities. We will therefore return with pleasure to make the most of them.

La maison est spacieuse, le jardin très bien entretenu, il y a 2 terrasses (ombre et soleil). Je recommande vivement ! Superb stay Very pleasant stay, full of beautiful villages and beautiful walks around. The house is spacious, the garden very well maintained, there are 2 terraces (shade and sun). Highly recommend!
Maison tout confort/Very comfortable house

Tout est bien pensé : draps et serviettes en quantité, cuisine très bien équipée pour cuisiner facilement. Nous avons aussi beaucoup profité des équipements de loisirs (ping-pong, billard, jeux de société), parfaits pour des moments conviviaux. Nous reviendrons! Very comfortable house Large house, perfectly suited for a group stay, with a baby (bed and changing table much appreciated). Everything is well thought out: sheets and towels in quantity, very well equipped kitchen for easy cooking. We also took great advantage of the leisure facilities (table tennis, billiards, board games), perfect for convivial moments. We will be back!
